DADON Dance Company was founded in 2016 by Tamar Barlev & Eyal Dadon. The company's artistic team includes 12 dancers, artists, and unique designers. Already in its early years, the company managed to break into the consciousness of the contemporary dance scene in Israel and abroad, thanks to a distinctive movement language characterized by the dancers' ability to perform with inner strength, determination, and mental calm — all while enduring extreme physical conditions. This approach enables both intimacy and explosive power simultaneously. The fusion of these contrasts creates a deep connection to emotion, the body, and humanity.

"In darkness reminiscent of the lowest points of the ocean, Something thick enveloping every bone, making movement and breathing difficult.
Every glowing spot could be a trap or your own tail.
The line blurs between a lip kiss and gaping jaws.
A forging fight is an act of love while a hug leaves behind only longing for warmth.
Only corals that have been stepped on can grow in the depths of the tar."

Eyal Dadon
Choreographer & Sound Designer
Born in Be’er Sheva, Israel (1989), Eyal Dadon is an award-winning choreographer and sound designer whose work is celebrated both in Israel and internationally. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious honors, including the Israeli Ministry of Culture Award for Choreographers (2024), the Jeong Mak Award in South Korea (2021), the Creation Award at the Machol Shalem Choreography Competition (2015), and First Prize at the Hanover International Choreography Competition (2014).
As a dancer, Dadon was honored with the Yair Shapira Award (2014) for his contribution to the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and to Israeli contemporary dance, and received America–Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships (2006–2008).
Since beginning his choreographic journey in 2011, Dadon has developed a distinctive and innovative movement language, paired with a profound exploration of sound. His creations, crafted in close collaboration with his artistic and life partner Tamar Barlev, have been commissioned by leading dance companies and theaters across Europe, Asia, and Israel, including:
Aterballetto (Italy), Czech National Ballet, Hessisches Staatsballett (Germany), Gärtnerplatz Theater (Munich), Gauthier Dance Company (Stuttgart), Thalia Theater (Hamburg), Xie Xin Dance Theatre (Shanghai), BJ9CDT (Beijing), Stanislavsky Ballet (Moscow), Chang Dance Theater (Taiwan), and Ballet Hagen (Germany).
In Israel, his works have been presented by the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Fresco Dance Company, Inbal Dance Theater, and the Jerusalem Dance Theater.
Earlier in his career, Dadon danced with Kamea Dance Company under the artistic direction of Tamir Ginz (2008–2010), and subsequently with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company under Rami Be’er (2010–2015). During this time, he worked with leading choreographers such as Rami Be’er, Tamir Ginz, Or Abohav, Eitan Sivak, and Idan Sharabi. Following his performing career, and alongside his creative projects, Dadon worked as a Rehearsal Director for Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (2015–2020).
In 2016, together with Tamar Barlev, Dadon co-founded SOL Dance Company — today known as DADON Dance Company — which has evolved into a vibrant and internationally acclaimed ensemble of 12 exceptional artists.
Deeply engaged in the exploration of sound and musical form, Dadon graduated from BPM College of Music in Tel Aviv, and has since designed the soundtracks for his own works, while also collaborating with musician Gil Nemet on original music and sound research. For the past five years until today, he is also working as a sound designer for the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, in ongoing collaboration with choreographer Rami Be’er.
